How enquiry details are used

Version gp-processing-notice/2026-11-03.

Golden Properties handles the enquiries sent through the forms on this website. KM Digital Solutions runs the website and its enquiry system for Golden Properties. This page explains what happens to the details you send.

Who is responsible

Golden Properties PTY LTD, of Ulusaba, 4 Clara Anna Fontein, Durbanville, Cape Town 7550, is responsible for your enquiry and for the details you send with it. Its Information Officer is André Nel.

KM Digital Solutions (KM Creative Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd, registration 2025/732825/07), based in Durbanville, Western Cape, runs this website and its enquiry system for Golden Properties. It also keeps its own record that it introduced you to Golden Properties, and is responsible for that record.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect:

  • your name and telephone number;
  • your email address, when you give one or when what you ask for needs it;
  • how you would prefer to be contacted, and your message, if you write one;
  • the property you asked about, what you asked for, and the exact version of the property details you were shown;
  • your answers to any optional questions you choose to answer: your country and timezone and, for a property, what it would be for, your budget band and your timeframe. Country means where you live or can be reached. It is not a record of your nationality or tax status;
  • for a confidential investment opportunity, the optional company, role, who you are buying for, budget, funding and timeframe you choose to give;
  • whether you ticked the box to hear about other properties like this one;
  • where you arrived from, when this is known: the address of the page with the form, including any campaign tags in it, and the website that linked to it. When it is not known, it is recorded as unknown.

Please do not put identity numbers, bank details, health information or information about children in your message. We do not need them.

Why we use your details

  • To answer your enquiry and deal with what you asked for, such as more information, a viewing or tender documents.
  • To keep a record of the enquiry and of what was done about it.
  • So that KM Digital Solutions has a record that it introduced you to Golden Properties.
  • To tell you about other properties like this one, but only if you ticked the box for that. Sending an enquiry does not add you to a marketing list.

Your name, telephone number, email address and message are never put into a web address.

Whether you have to give them

We need your name, a telephone number and, for some requests, an email address to answer your enquiry. Without them we cannot reply. Everything else is optional. No law requires you to give us these details to make an enquiry.

Who receives them

  • Golden Properties' staff who deal with enquiries.
  • KM Digital Solutions, which runs the enquiry system and can see enquiries in it.
  • xneelo, which hosts this website and the enquiry database on servers in South Africa.
  • Microsoft, whose Azure service stores encrypted backup copies in South Africa.
  • Google, which provides the email service used by both firms. Each enquiry is sent to Golden Properties as an email from KM Digital Solutions' mailbox.

The enquiry record is open to people at Golden Properties and KM Digital Solutions who have been given a sign-in, and to those who administer the server.

Processing outside South Africa

The website, the enquiry database and its backup copies are kept in South Africa. The email that tells Golden Properties about your enquiry contains the details of your enquiry. Google handles that email and may process it in countries outside South Africa, whose data protection laws may not protect it in the same way as South Africa's. The email is sent this way because it is how your enquiry reaches Golden Properties so that it can be answered.

How long we keep your details

  • Enquiry details: kept only for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and anything that follows from it, such as a viewing, an offer, a sale or a dispute, and to show that KM Digital Solutions introduced you. They are not deleted automatically. KM Digital Solutions reviews the enquiry records every three months. When you ask us to delete your details, or when that review finds they are no longer needed, your name, contact details, message and optional answers are deleted, and only a record without them that an enquiry was made is kept. The exception is an enquiry still needed for one of the reasons above, such as a dispute or showing that KM Digital Solutions introduced you: it is kept only while that need lasts, and the reason is recorded. If you asked for the deletion, our written reply tells you what was kept and why.
  • Backup copies: backups are replaced on a rolling basis, and each copy is normally deleted within about 30 days of being made. Details that have been deleted can remain in a backup copy until that copy is deleted.
  • Notification emails: Golden Properties keeps the email it receives with its own business records. KM Digital Solutions keeps a copy in its sent mail and deletes it when it deletes your enquiry details. If you ask us to delete your details, we also ask Golden Properties to delete its copy.
  • Your internet address, when you send an enquiry: kept for about an hour to limit repeated sending, then removed the next time the website makes that check.
  • The server's firewall records the internet address of connections it blocks, to keep the website secure. These records are kept until newer records replace them or the log space is reused; there is no fixed period.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask for them to be corrected or deleted, or object to our use of them. If you ticked the box to hear about other properties, you may withdraw that at any time.

KM Digital Solutions receives and handles these requests, for Golden Properties and for itself. Send your request to milan@km-digitalsolutions.com, with your enquiry reference if you have it. KM Digital Solutions will reply in writing within 30 days.

Complaints

You may complain to the Information Regulator: Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191; POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za; www.inforegulator.org.za.

Usage measurement

Usage measurement is optional and separate from an enquiry. It is not switched on for this website at present; see the measurement settings below. If it is switched on later, you will be asked first.

Changes to this notice

Each enquiry is stored with the version of this notice it was sent under. If this notice changes, the new version applies only to enquiries sent after it is published.

Measurement settings

Usage measurement is optional, and it is separate from an enquiry. You can send an enquiry whatever you choose here, and your choice changes nothing about how an enquiry is handled.

Usage measurement is not switched on for these pages at present. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics, whatever you choose here.

If you allow it, Google Analytics receives a small, fixed set of facts about your visit to pages of this site that have been released for measurement: which page was opened, that a property page was viewed, and that somebody began filling in an enquiry form.

It uses cookies kept on this site’s own address. When measurement runs, your browser contacts Google directly, so Google also receives what a browser sends to any website, including its internet address.

Your enquiry details are never sent to Google Analytics, and neither are private property documents. It is not told whether an enquiry was sent, or what became of one.

If you have allowed measurement when you send an enquiry, this site may also note in its own records that an enquiry was made and which property it was about, without your details. That note stays with this site.

Your choice is kept in this browser only, for up to 180 days, and then you are asked again. Choosing “Do not allow” after allowing withdraws your agreement: measurement stops on this site in this browser, and the site asks your browser to remove its measurement cookies.

You have not made a choice. Nothing is measured.
